- Since cultured pearls are organic and porous gems, they are partly composed of water. Keep them away from excessive heat or intense lighting.
- While the natural oils of your skin only enhance the luster of pearls, cosmetics should never be applied directly onto them. This includes such items as skin creams, hair spray, perfume and similar products. Contact with these items may damage the nacre or cause discoloration over the time.
- You should only put your pearls on after such cosmetics have been applied respecting the old adage “pearls should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off”.
- After you wear pearls, just wipe them off with a soft cloth, which may be dry or damp. You can even use a drop of olive oil on the cloth to help maintain their luster.
Do not store pearls in plastic. Pearls, as every organic material, need to breath !

- Current water, sun, sand, sea, sports, daily activities travel and work: With good care your Tresors de St Barth jewels will last a lifetime and the leather will even acquire a rich patina as it ages naturally.
