Malachite & 18K Gold Pendant Necklace
From a mine in Congo to my workshop. Then to your skin.
This malachite was not bought from a catalog. It arrived raw pulled from a mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo by a trusted contact, then shipped directly to our workshop. There, it was cut by hand into a smooth pebble shape, sculpted for hours, and polished until the stone's natural concentric bands emerged in full deep forest green spiraling into emerald, ring after ring, like a cross-section of the earth itself.
No two malachite stones share the same pattern. The one on your necklace will be unlike any other that has ever existed, or ever will.
The stone hangs from a solid 18K gold bead sculpted in wax and cast in our workshop — threaded onto braided kangaroo leather. The braid is tight, fine, and hand-rolled from the thickest skins available. The necklace closes with a cultured Tahitian black pearl at the back, so every angle of this piece is intentional.
Malachite has been prized for thousands of years carved into amulets in ancient Egypt, ground into pigment by Renaissance painters, and set into the columns of Russian palaces. It is one of the oldest known gemstones. Wearing it is not a fashion statement. It is a geological one.
The kind of pendant that sits against your skin and makes everything around it quieter.
