Tahitian Pearl Lariat Necklace on Leather
The necklace you put on once and never take off.
This is the most sold piece in the Trésors de St Barth collection and once you understand how it works, you will understand why.
The design is built around a single innovation. The focal pearl a generous 14mm+ round Tahitian cultured pearl is delicately drilled in a Y formation, allowing it to slide freely along the leather cord. This means the necklace slips over your head without a clasp, adjusts to any length with a simple pull, and falls differently every time you wear it. No fumbling behind your neck. No fixed length. No rules. Just pearl on leather, moving with your body.
Below the focal pearl, two Tahitian drop pearls hang in perfect balance their position fully adjustable, falling exactly where you want them against your chest. Wear it long as a lariat over a white shirt. Pull it short as a choker over bare skin. Layer it. There is no wrong way to wear this necklace, and that freedom is what brings people back to it again and again.
No one else makes this piece. The Y-drilled sliding pearl is a technique developed in our workshop it requires precision drilling through the pearl at two angles without cracking it, and the patience to test every pearl until the slide is smooth and effortless. It is the detail that makes this necklace feel like it was designed for your body specifically, even though it was designed to fit every body.
Each pearl is hand-selected for depth of color dark, mysterious, with the peacock and charcoal overtones that only the Tahitian oyster produces. Grade B/C, chosen not for clinical perfection but for character: the subtle variations in shape and luster that make each necklace genuinely one of a kind.
The cord is premium kangaroo leather the finest and most supple leather used in jewelry making. Soft against the skin from the first day, developing a rich patina over months that makes the necklace look and feel more personal the longer you wear it. The leather pairs with the organic weight of the pearls in a way no metal chain ever could.
At $590, this is the piece that has introduced more people to Trésors de St Barth than any other. It is the one that gets stopped in the street, the one that starts conversations, the one that friends ask about. And it is still made the same way it has always been made — by hand, one necklace at a time, with three pearls from the South Pacific and a single strand of leather.
